Pol Pot ate all the logics of Cambodia

Oh my, so this is probably the laast you hear from me in a while, going to Kep over the weekend then to Vietnam for two weeks and then back. Stressed out got a ton of stuff to do before friday and things are happening as always and I'm not completly sure I know what I'm doing bu whatever I'm sure it will be alright in the end... It always seems to be.. hehe


Oh and if you're wondering about the title I'll be happy to tell you bout it but it will need to be done vocally...

I take it all back

I take it all back, man I don't know what I'm talking about, I don't want to leave! I love it here. The atmosphere is great, the weather is kickass, the lifestyle is sweet, and the people.. Man the people are AMAZING. I don't want to miss more people, I don't want to say good bye again.... I feel so good here... I like myself in Cambodia.
It's not fair

TV and stuff

Went to KK yesterday to watch Tiny toons and it turned out that TV was there.. and no TV isnt another nickname but actually TV. Channel 11 or something like that. So yes, I might soon be able to add being on Cambodian TV to my CV :P haha not that I said anythign or did anything, just one of those ppl in the background haha anyways it was funny to watch.
After that we all (with all I mean the five ppl I live with) hit the town for a friday night out... didn't really go as we planned but it was still a really nice evening aand man I so love dancing :D

Wanting to leave

I figured out that ever since Jen left and I realised that I too am soon to go home I've been stressing so much about it. I've been upset, edgy, and low. This to the extent that my mind have started to look forward to going home just so that I don't have to be so anxious about leaving. Haha isn't that a nice oxymoron. (or maybe I'm lost in my terminology :P)
But yeah well I thought I'd be able to write tons about this but I think I've just said what i wanted to say... yeah

Bubbel tea

Apparently you can't escape Valentines day even in Cambodia so happy Valentine to all of you. Just finished a cup of bubbel tea which is this amazing drink of like tea and bubbels made from tapioka or something similar, its so delicious!
Oh I try to speak in Khmer as much as I can but oh my its tiresome.. it requires so much energy! haha but its fun
Tonight is heroes night!! YAY
Hehe well gah I have so many plans on what I want to do but so little time and money.. ahh haha nevermind.
Oh and I talked to my firneds yesterday... oh i miss them so much!

oh yea be jealous

Two more things, I just bought 5 mangoes bigger than the size of my hand for two dollars and its starting to get hot again. SO HOT! Sweaty! hehe but I'll put up with it willingly if it means I get this cheap fruit =) I think I'm meant to live in tropical climate haha

Update

This is how accustomed I have become to Cambodian-western life style. I wake up at 6.45 to unlock the door so that the girl that comes to clean can come in, then I go back to bed and when I wake up she's here juct cleaning... Isn't that in a way aweful? It's going to be weird to come home. Which I btw is in like less then three months. Time moves so quickly!

I'm staying at wendy's til the 19th which is next monday then five days later im leaving for Vietnam for two wekks. come back around the 13th, then I have about four weeks left here, then to Malaysia and then I'm basically home. BAD. Elysia and I have now on a daily basis started to say, no not yet...

Anyways enough complaining.. I took part in the UWC selection this weekend and it was well interesting.. There were 15 candidates that we needed to narrow down to 5 and in order to do this they had during the course of the day different activities that were running simultaneous. I was part of the presentation panel and it was actually really interesting. Most of them did presentations on Human Rights in Cambodia or Development in Cambodia. You coulod tell that they have all been thaught well and that there is an awareness about the problem and they know how to solve it. So if everyone knows about the problem and how to solve it then why is it still existing? I guess it's hard to live as you learn and that that is the major problem in Cambodia. Not corruption, not trafficking, not littering, but to live as you learn...

On the same topic (well not really) I went to the hospital on Wednesday. Two of the girls needed to go and I wanted to come along to see how it worked and I must admit it was a lot more structured and EFFECTIVE than I would have thought. Don't know how high the quality of it was but it definatly was not as bad as I would have expected it to be.
